STEPHEN V. DESIMONE, PE, LEED AP

PRESIDENT/CHIEF EXECUTIVE
 
Stephen DeSimone joined the firm in 1988 and currently holds the position of President/Chief Executive. During his career, Mr. DeSimone has specialized in computer modeling of complex formed structures.

In this pursuit, Mr. DeSimone has developed several techniques that enable complex surface information to be migrated from one computer application to another. Other areas of expertise include wind engineering, the use of composite systems and the design of high-rise concrete structures.

Throughout his tenure, Mr. DeSimone has focused on the design of mixed-use and high-rise projects, including Vdara Tower . City Center (483 million, 57-story tower in Las Vegas, Nevada); the Four Seasons Hotel and Tower (65-story, 800 ft tall, 2 million sf mixed-use complex in Miami, Florida and Millennium Place ($400 million, 1.8 million sf dual mixed-use towers in Boston, Massachusetts).

Mr. DeSimone has been responsible for an extensive list of award winning projects. Such diverse projects as IAC Headquarters, The Standard and the Four Seasons Hotel Tower San Francisco have all received honors.

Mr. DeSimone is an active member of the engineering community. He was a founding member of the Structural Engineers Association of New York (SEAoNY), and sat on the Steering Committee of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat’s Seventh World Congress. He is also an active member of the New York Concrete Industry Board and the American Concrete Institute.

Mr. DeSimone received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Manhattan College and his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Columbia University. He is a licensed professional in twelve states and is a LEED accredited professional.
