| The Newark Museum project, located in downtown Newark, consisted of the renovation and expansion of the museum’s existing facilities. This $30 million, 200,000 sf project doubled the facility’s art galleries, provided a new auditorium and increased space for collection storage. As the museum remained open during construction, extensive strategic planning was required. DeSimone simplified the structural system so crews could work more quickly and efficiently. Subsequent phases have included the historic preservation of Ballantine House, a planetarium and science galleries. |
