This $180 million, 32-story, 765,000 sf mixed-use project is located in New Haven, Connecticut. The project consists of a six-story podium containing 150,000 sf of retail, daycare and parking areas and a 26-story residential tower is situated atop the center of the podium. A component of the residential units will be designated as affordable housing. The residential tower uses a steel staggered truss framing system with precast concrete plank floors. The staggered truss tower is supported on a cast-in-place concrete podium. The project is being built over the New Haven Pitkin Tunnel requiring Transportation Authority coordination. The project will seek LEED Neighborhood Development certification. This project will revitalize a long-underutilized 1.5-acre site in a prime downtown location, a block away from the New Haven Green and across the street from the State Street train station. It is the largest residential development to built in New Haven and the first LEED Silver project in Connecticut.
