Bungale S. Taranath brings over 30 years of experience in design of tall buildings to DeSimone’s Las Vegas office.  Prior to his employment with us, he has held key positions at firms such as John A. Martin & Associates in Los Angeles, Walter P. Moore Associates in Houston and the Chicago office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, where his fascination with tall buildings developed under the tutelage of the late Dr. Fazlur R. Kahn. 

Dr. Taranath has presented a number of award winning papers and conducted seminars on tall building design in the United States, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, India and England.  He has also published three books on the analysis and design of tall buildings that are used as reference within the engineering community world wide.  His second book “Steel, Concrete and Composite Design of Tall Buildings” was translated into Chinese and is widely used in Asia.

He is a registered structural engineer in several states, including California and Nevada.
