STEPHEN V. DESIMONE, PE, LEED

PRESIDENT/CHIEF EXECUTIVE
 

Stephen DeSimone joined the firm in 1988 and currently holds the position of President/Chief Executive. Mr. DeSimone's work has focused around high-rise mixed-use/residential structures. He has produced numerous award-winning works such as Bayonne Transmission Tower awarded the 2006 ACEC New York Diamond Award and Four Seasons Tower, Miami awarded the 2004 ACEC New York Platinum Award. As well, Mr. DeSimone's work on innovative structures such as Peter B. Lewis Building at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and Fisher Center at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson has also received notice. These two Gehry Partner projects involved the use of CATIA complex modeling software.

Mr. DeSimone received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Manhattan College and his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Columbia University. Mr. DeSimone is a member of Chi-Epsilon, the National Civil Engineering Honor Society, has been an instructor at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University and is an expert consultant for Round Table Group, Inc. Currently he is an active member of the New York Concrete Industry Board and the American Concrete Institute. He is a founding member and board member of the Structural Engineers Association of New York(SEAoNY) and is on the Safety Committee of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat Building.
