Job Title: Senior Project Engineer – Multiple Positions

Job Duties: Provide direct support to the project manager by performing analysis and design tasks for concrete and structural members such as beams, columns, foundations, shear walls, slabs other miscellaneous elements using in house tools and software packages and by following building code requirements. Perform coordination of structural work with architects, clients and contractors. Development of structural drawings by creating construction plans and details. Provide construction support by reviewing and responding to contractor documents (shop drawings, material specifications, test results, and concrete mix designs). Prepare calculation reports for review by local building authority. Perform coordination of structural work with other industry disciplines (mechanical, civil, landscaping, electrical). Perform project site visits for observation of structural construction progress for compliance with requirements in contract documents. Prepare project design criteria for projects based on local building codes and building usage. Perform review of technical product produced by engineers (calculations and reports). Perform review and Q&A on structural drawings produced by engineers. Assist project managers with management of project financial and staffing resources. Contribute to business development efforts by creating proposals, maintaining client relationships and following project leads. Train and mentor junior engineering staff.
Requirements: Master’s degree in Structural, Civil or Architectural Engineering plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related engineering position. Must have two (2) years of experience with design and analysis of steel and concrete structures, software engineering design packages: SAFE, ETABS, RAM, REVIT and design tool AUTOCAD.
