The internship program at DeSimone offers a select group of undergraduate and graduate engineering students the opportunity to work at one of our worldwide offices. We are looking for talented, motivated students like you who want to gain a range of engineering expertise while working on creative and innovative projects.
The summer internship program lasts approximately eight weeks, where students are paired with a mentor and gain real world experience in order to expand their knowledge and to begin a successful engineering career.
Who should apply? Engineering students actively enrolled in a four-year undergraduate Bachelor Degree program at an accredited college or university the summer prior to senior year, as well as graduates continuing their education in a Masters of Engineering program. Students must have completed at least their junior year course work and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
The application period for the summer program runs through May 1st of each year.
All internship submissions must include: preferences for geographic location, a cover letter requesting consideration for the program which describes their career interests in the engineering industry, a resume with all relevant education, work experience, special skills and interests, highlights of any volunteer experience through work, school, community or otherwise, and letters of recommendation are also welcome. Students may also be asked to provide transcripts.

A: Internship program hours are typically 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, with an hour lunch. Occasionally, interns may have the opportunity to work overtime.
Q: Is there a dress code?
A: Yes, interns are expected to dress for a professional work environment, except when scheduled for a field site visit. It is recommended that interns have work boots available for field site visits.
Q: Do I have to have a car?
A: No, interns are not required to own cars, but they must provide their own transportation to and from work.
Q: Does DeSimone provide housing for interns?
A: No, interns must make arrangements for their own housing during the internship program.
