About the Office
The San Francisco office of DeSimone was established in 1992 to serve as the firm’s base of operations to service their growing list of West Coast projects and as a gateway to the Pacific. Located in the high seismic area of northern California, our San Francisco office is on the cutting edge of structural and earthquake engineering technology for the design of buildings.
Our San Francisco staff members serve on various technical committees of the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California, including past-Chair of the Seismology Committee, and are well-versed with the latest techniques of seismic analysis and design including three-dimensional dynamic response spectra analysis, non-linear inelastic time history analysis, performance-based design, seismic base isolation techniques, etc. We have designed many iconic, high-rise buildings in San Francisco and in other high seismic regions in the world.
