Abdul Raheem Mohammad joined DeSimone in 2006 and is currently an Associate in the firm’s Miami office. He has over 15 years of professional experience and specializes in high-rise buildings.
Mr. Mohammad is currently designing two mixed-use projects that are on the boards: One Ashley in Tampa, a 38-story high-rise mixed-use project that will be comprised of residential, hotel, and retail uses; and One Bayfront Plaza in Miami, a 92-story mixed-use tower that is the first to rise above 1000 ft in the state of Florida.
Mr. Mohammad’s previous work includes the Toy Story Hotel for Disney’s theme park in Shanghai, an 800-room resort hotel; and Grove at Grand Bay in Coconut Grove, Florida, the first truly twisting buildings in the United States. He has also worked on Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort project in the United Arab Emirates, a 5.1 million sf resort and residential community surrounding the expansive wildlife park.
Mr. Mohammad earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Osmania University in 2004 and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Florida International University in 2005.
