Brian Schenck joined DeSimone in 2004 and is a Principal in the New York office. He has 18 years of experience specializing in renovation, conversion, and structural remediation for all types of projects.

His project experience includes the Zwirner Gallery, a 30,000 sf LEED Certified gallery featuring an exposed concrete facade in Manhattan; 15 Union Square West, the renovation and expansion of the 7-story Tiffany & Company Store; 20 Pine, the residential conversion of a 38-story, 690,000 sf commercial building in New York’s Financial District; and 5 Madison Avenue, a 40-story office structure converted to a luxury hotel.

His additional experience includes 122 Fifth Avenue, consisting of the renovation of the existing office building, provision of an occupied roof pavilion and terrace, and construction of a parallel new annex; 685 Fifth Avenue, the conversion of an existing office building into a new residential property, involving the removal of several top levels and reconstruction to vertically expand an added five new floors above; and 30 East 29th Street, a new 47-story concrete residential building with a compact floor plate; The Geneva in Washington DC, a 980,000 sf project consisting of two existing buildings to be converted from office to residential use and expanded to 1,100,000 sf total; and the conversion of a historic church on Central Park West into the future Children’s Museum of Manhattan in New York.

Mr. Schenck received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
