Federico Balestrazzi is a civil engineer who specializes in the design and construction of cladding systems and complex facades for a variety of different building types and structures. He has over 20 years of experience in building enclosures and products with an extensive background in design, testing, manufacture, estimating, and installation. He also has experience serving as an owner’s representative for his restoration and forensic works.
Mr. Balestrazzi’s project work includes the Surf Club in Surfside, Florida, a project involved consulting services, special inspections, forensics for glass and glazing, above-grade waterproofing, stucco remediation, roofing, stone claddings, and metal claddings; Four Seasons Residences in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for which he provided consulting services and special inspections for above and below- grade waterproofing, curtain walls, railings, traffic coatings, roofing systems, and metal cladding; The W Hotel South Beach in Miami Beach, Florida, a project requested consulting services, litigation support, special inspection for structure and building envelope restoration which includes curtain walls, sliding glass doors, railings, metal claddings, above-grade waterproofing, concrete, paint, and stucco; and Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, a museum featuring a steel and glass facade, stone cladding, louvers, and metal claddings in Boston, Massachusetts.
Mr. Balestrazzi earned a Master of Engineering degree from Lamar University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Babson College. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design from Architecture School at Politecnico di Milano in Milan, Italy.
