Jedd Miranda joined DeSimone in 2013 and is an Associate in the New York office. He has over 16 years of experience and specializes in residential, mixed-use, commercial and office construction. He has also worked on a variety of major renovations/alterations of existing historical buildings, interior fit-outs, and structural damage assessments. His expertise includes analysis and design of concrete, steel, masonry, and light-gage structures, 3D modelling, and historical preservation.
Mr. Miranda’s recent work experience includes EWALK Regal Times Square, a major renovation and tenant fit-out to an existing four-story steel-framed theater; Children’s Museum of Manhattan, a major renovation and alteration of an existing historic church; 888 Broadway, an interior fit-out and grand staircase design created for the Netflix headquarters in New York City; and Dulles Train Station Phase 2, the structural assessment of five area train stations around Dulles airport in Virginia.
Other project experience in New York includes Avalon DoBro, a 596 ft residential tower containing 800,000 gsf; Selene, a 710 ft luxury residential tower containing 330,000 gsf; Moxy Hotel Times Square, a major renovation to an existing 16-story steel building adding two stories; and Brooklyn Army Terminal, a major renovation to an existing eight-story building adding a freight elevator.
Mr. Miranda earned a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of the Philippines.
