Jessi Pereira joined DeSimone in 2014. He is currently an Associate in the firm’s Miami office.
Mr. Pereira specializes in high-rise structures, renovations, steel frame, hospitality, residential and office projects. His projects include the Four Seasons, Fort Lauderdale, a 22-story high-rise with hotel and residences totaling 575,000 sf.
Other projects in the residential and hospitality sector include Stamford URL, which comprises 708,000 sf of new construction including one basement level of parking, mixed-use spaces, a landscaped courtyard, and an outdoor pool; Tampa EDITION Hotel, a 26-story tower with 172 hotel keys and 49 residential units totaling 321,000 sf; and 1149 Ashford, a 590,000 sf residential tower located in San Juan, proposed to be the tallest building in Puerto Rico.
Mr. Pereira’s noteworthy renovation experience includes the Broward County Convention Center expansion and hotel, a significant and long awaited project for Broward County, Florida. Mr. Pereira led DeSimone’s evaluation, coordination and retro-fit design of the existing building structure. In its entirety, the project encompasses over two million square feet of new and renovated construction. When complete, this signature project will allow the county to host some of the largest events in the county in a first class facility.
Mr. Pereira’s noteworthy retail experience includes the Apple Store at Aventura Mall: a complex structure with architectural elements, glazing, plumbing and structural systems commingled, requiring an acute attention to detail and coordination to produce.
Mr. Pereira earned Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Florida.
