Raxit Patel is an Associate Principal in DeSimone’s Houston office. He has over 17 years of industry experience, including the design and management of reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, and composite structures, as well as the design, production, coordination, and construction administration for projects. Mr. Patel has extensive knowledge and experience of modeling complex structures, including the design of long-span steel truss structures, using advanced design software such as ETABS, SAP, SAFE, ADAPT, and RISA 3D.

His portfolio of work includes major projects in aviation including various Houston Airport System structures and Southwest Airline projects at the William P. Hobby International Airport in Houston, Texas; NASA Johnson Space Center, Building 24 CHP in Houston Texas; and United Airlines Terminal B and C projects at the George Bush Intercontinental/Houston Airport.

Mr. Patel also has extensive experience in engineering projects for higher education, healthcare, federal, commercial, parking structures, and mission critical facilities. Noteable structures in these markets include the AT&T Football Stadium Expansion at Texas Tech University; College Park Center at The University of Texas in Arlington, Maryland; Anderson Cancer Center Zayed Building for Personalized Cancer Therapy in Maryland; Anderson Cancer Center Braeswood Garage; University Medical Center at Texas Tech University; and Kendall Neighborhood Library and Community Center in Houston, Texas.

Mr. Patel earned a Master of Science degree with a focus on Civil Engineering from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Sardar Patel University in India.
