Pablo Acuna

Mr. Acuna is a Principal at DeSimone Consulting Engineering in the company’s Santiago, Chile office. Pablo began his career as an Operations Analyst with Acuña y Asociados S.A in 1998 and progressed to General Manager until Acuña was acquired by Dowco in 2016. Dowco was acquired by DeSimone in 2023.

Pablo has been a key factor in the company’s international growth, helping to build-out the firm’s presence in Chile and across South America.

Pablo is a Civil Industrial Engineer and has an MBA.

Mr. Dobbie is a Principal in DeSimone’s Langley office, where he leads DeSimone’s Integrated Design and Detailing team.

As Principal of DeSimone’s Structural Steel Detailing practice, Mr. Dobbie has more than 30 years of experience. He has been responsible for managing technology divisions, software sales divisions, 3D modeling, detailing, BIM, and preconstruction services operations. Given his pioneering role as the first North American user and reseller of Tekla Structures software, Mr. Dobbie has played a key role in the development of North America’s 3D structural modeling capabilities and has championed emerging BIM and digital construction services markets throughout his career.

Mr. Dobbie is frequently asked to deliver presentations and speak before the continent’s leading construction industry trade associates, particularly in the areas of BIM and evolving design and construction processes and workflows. Mr. Dobbie is widely considered one of the leading BIM thought leaders within the AEC industry. He draws heavily on this diverse background and hands-on experience in positioning DeSimone as the leading global provider of comprehensive pre-construction services for clients in design, fabrication, erection, construction management, and related fields.
