COVID-19 and Continuity of Services at DeSimone

Press Releases

March 17, 2020

Our firm’s ethos has always been “client first” but never at the expense of our team members health or well-being. The potential impact of COVID-19 on the mental and physical state of our team members is of paramount importance to us and we are modifying the way we serve our clients and their projects. We continue to heed the recommendations of the CDC as well as our industry partners and will modify our protocols and procedures accordingly.

We have established a service continuity plan that enables team members to work remotely, promoting social distancing while continuing to service the needs of the project as well as adhering to project milestones. Each member of the firm remains fully available by telephone, email and video conference, and we have established internal communication systems for individual teams and for the firm as a whole. Except where prohibited by Executive Order, our offices are open with a minimal staff and our phones are being manned so as to direct your calls more efficiently.

DeSimone has invested in the necessary tools to maintain the high level of service our clients and business partners have come to expect from us.  We continue to support our projects, meet deadlines and service our client’s across  the globe. Quite simply DeSimone is open for business.

Key systems are as follows:

  • Global data access via secure VPN (Virtual Private Network)
  • Autodesk BIM
  • Secure remote global access via TeamViewer Tensor with active TFA
  • Global High Availability of data via Panzura – with real-time cloud backup to AWS
  • Video Conferencing/Screen share for project team collaboration via Microsoft Teams and StartMeeting
  • BlueBeam Studio for design and drawing reviews including electronic sealing

Our technology team is available to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding your own work from home challenges.  Please contact at

This too shall pass but we must all remain vigilant and “flatten the curve”.

If you have any concerns or feel that your project is not currently being properly serviced, please feel free to contact me directly.
