Lighthouse Point, Staten Island’s Future Residential Tower featured in Curbed NY
New York, NY, January 08, 2014 – Combining new construction and historic preservation, DeSimone’s project with Cooper Carry, Lighthouse Point, will create a 96-unit rental tower, a hotel, and new retail and dining on Staten Island’s North Shore.
A long time in the making, Staten Island’s Lighthouse Point is a product of a public-private partnership between the City of New York and Triangle Equities. The project team, which includes Cooper Carry and Garrison Architects, was originally selected from a competitive RFP in 2006. “The project finally coming to fruition is really a testament to our developer, Triangle Equities, and the New York City Economic Development Council (NYCEDC),” said Ben Wauford, principal of Cooper Carry and director of the firm’s New York City office.
