Design Boom featured DeSimone project 50 West designed by JAHN architects.
Located on West Street between Joseph P. Ward and Rector Streets in lower Manhattan, this new $600 million, 64-story, 780 foot tall tower is expected to contain approximately 500,000 gsf. The building will house 280 residential units, 155 hospitality guest rooms, two levels of parking, lobby amenity areas and a green roof. A pedestrian bridge will span West Street, linking the building to the southern part of Wall Street. The design incorporates a fluid viscous damper to control movement. The project anticipates achieving LEED – Gold Certification.
