DeSimone is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Juan Carlos Araiza, Ph.D., PE to Principal of the firm’s Forensics practice.
Dr. Araiza joined DeSimone in 2017 and has provided technical oversight and management of the firm’s Forensics practice in the United States Southwestern Region and South America. As Principal, Dr. Araiza will continue to lead the forensics team encompassing both pre and post loss services.

Dr. Araiza has amassed a diverse portfolio of forensic projects including various bridge and dam collapse investigations, parking garage failure and retrofit projects, excessive structural vibration investigations, and scope of damage investigation of transportation infrastructure after hurricane and earthquake damage. Dr. Araiza is also an active member of the ASCE Forensic Engineering Division and various ACI committees.
