Danilo Nanni, Senior Associate of DeSimone’s Miami, Florida office, is a featured presenter for the 2019 Tall + Urban Innovation Conference powered by CTBUH – The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. For this year’s conference, Mr. Nanni will host an in-depth conversation on the structural and geotechnical design of Panorama Tower, the tallest building in Florida and the tallest residential structure south of New York City in the United States.
Designed by Moshe Cosicher and DeSimone with Baker Concrete, the 868-foot-tall mixed-use development was recently awarded by CTBUH for superlative engineering design in the 2019 Award of Excellence Program. Today, the 83-story tower is equipped to support a community of over 3,000 people, representing one of the best examples of high-rise, urban living in Miami, Florida. Tibor Hollo, Chairman and Founder of Florida East Coast Realty, is responsible for the development.
The 2019 Tall + Urban Innovation Conference will take place in Shenzhen, China on April 8th through April 10th. The annual event explores and celebrates the very best in innovative tall buildings, urban spaces, building technologies, and construction practices from around the world. Incorporating what was previously known as the CTBUH Annual Awards event, this three-day conference will host owner, developer, design, and engineering teams for more than 50 awarded projects. Presentations are held in front of an international audience and live juries for winning distinctions across several award categories. Hot topics and trends in the building industry will also be explored throughout the conference.
