On Wednesday, Dec. 9, DeSimone Consulting Engineers’ Al Maryah Tower was named the Tower Project of the Year at the Construction Week Awards 2015. The project also earned the firm a highly commended award under the Commercial Tower of the Year category.
Located on Abu Dhabi’s Al Maryah Island, the project consists of a 32-story tower with six podium levels and six levels of sub-terrain parking. It is one of the deepest excavated sites in Abu Dhabi.
DeSimone was also shortlisted for two additional Construction Week awards: Regent Emirates Pearl as Hospitality Project of the Year; and Ahmed Osman, managing principal of the firm’s Abu Dhabi office, as Project Manager of the Year.
