Giulia Alimonti to Co-Present on Building Enclosure Commissioning Programs with AIA New York

On Wednesday, March 20th, Senior Associate Giulia Alimonti, will co-present Building Envelope Commissioning Strategies at AIA New York’s Center for Architecture. Organized in collaboration with the AIA New York Building Council, the presentation will explore the purpose and components of enclosure commissioning, roles of the façade designer and of the enclosure commissioning consultant, how BECX impacts sustainable construction, and how to maximize the value and effectiveness of a BECx program.

Benjamin Townsend, a Senior Engineer at WDP Consulting Engineers will join Ms. Alimonti for the presentation.

About Giulia Alimonti:

As a Senior Associate at DeSimone, Giulia Alimonti is responsible for developing, facilitating, and actively supporting DeSimone’s Facades and Forensics practices. With over 20 years of experience, Ms. Alimonti specializes in the construction, restoration and preservation of building enclosure systems, including masonry, windows, curtain walls, roofing and waterproofing systems, as well as forensic investigations of construction defects.

Ms. Alimonti is a licensed architect in New York and in Italy. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree in Architectural Technology from the University of Rome – La Sapienza.
