As the interest grows regarding Manhattan’s new skyscrapers, Stephen V. DeSimone, the President of DeSimone, sat down with the New York Times to discuss the use of mass dampers to stabilize high-rise towers in the wind. DeSimone’s projects, 50 West, 100 East 53rd Street (aka 610 Lexington Avenue), 220 Central Park South, and 111 Murray Street were mentioned among other projects.
