Millennium Tower Broke Ground – Boston’s Soon-To-Be Tallest Residential Building

DeSimone’s Downtown Crossing project with Handel Architects, Millennium Tower, recently broke ground! When completed, the new 685’ tower will be the tallest residential building in Boston, and Boston’s fourth tallest building overall.

The construction of this new residential tower includes the renovation of the historic Filene’s Department Store designed by Daniel Burnham. Millennium Tower will house condominium units in 60 stories and will be 1,048,382 sf including three below-grade levels. It will include nearly 500 luxury condominiums, all of which will range from one- to three-bedrooms, as well as up to 190,000 square feet of retail. The adjacent Burnham Building will be renovated and a connecting atrium will be created between the two buildings.
