The Modern Named a Merit Award Winner in the 2014 NJCAA Awards

Fort Lee-New Jersey –

DeSimone Consulting Engineer’s New Jersey project, The Modern, was recently named a Merit Award Winner in the 2014 NJCAA Awards.

The Modern offers studio to 3 bedroom luxury rentals in Fort lee, New Jersey. Located just across the George Washington Bridge from Manhattan commuters to the city will have an ideal and beautiful location.

The Modern will redevelop a currently vacant lot in Fort Lee, New Jersey along the Hudson River just south of the George Washington Bridge. The project will create two high-rise residential towers located on the north and south edges of future public green space. Construction for the project will be phased with development of the North Tower commencing first.

The 47-story North Tower will house 597,000 sf of residential space. Also included in this phase will be a 7,000 sf stand-alone, one-story restaurant and 230,000 sf of parking in a free-standing five-story structure. The South Tower will house 597,000 sf of residential space, a 2,500 sf café, 2,000 sf of gallery space, 11,000 sf for a cinema, and 252,000 sf of parking in a second free-standing five-story structure. Each tower will consist of a five-story podium upon which the residential tower will sit. All of the buildings will be constructed at grade without cellar levels. The final project will add approximately 1.7 million sf of new construction to the Fort Lee waterfront.
