DeSimone is pleased to announce that Panorama Tower in Miami has received an Award of Merit from Engineering News Record’s Southeast Regional Best Projects competition.
Designed in collaboration with Tibor Hollo, Florida East Coast Realty Chairman & President, and architect Moshe Cosicher, Panorama Tower stands 868ft tall and accomplishes the tallest building in the state of Florida and the tallest residential structure south of New York City.
Opened in 1975, the Miami office continues to provide structural engineering services for some of the most notable projects in Florida and the Caribbean. Beyond Panorama Tower, DeSimone’s active projects in the southeast region include 1000 Museum Tower, Zaha Hadid’s first high-rise tower in the United States; Aston Martin Residences, an 817ft oceanfront condominium in Miami; Miami World Center, which includes a 704ft residential tower with 2.5 million sf of retail and garage space; and Brickell Flatiron, a 700-foot-tall luxury condominium building in collaboration with developer Ugo Colombo, and many other high-profile developments.
The 17th Annual ENR Regional Best Projects Awards comprise a series of special events that celebrate and honor the building teams who contributed to stand-out developments both in the US and abroad. Independent juries of industry leaders in design and construction from each of ENR’s 10 regional editions select the regional best projects that demonstrate superb safety performance, challenging design, and construction quality.
