DeSimone Consulting Engineering kicks off event series with a panel discussion on the future of tall and extraordinary buildings with Zaha Hadid Architects
On Thursday, December 1, 2022, DeSimone Consulting Engineering hosted its inaugural panel discussion event at DeSimone’s London office looking at the future of tall and extraordinary buildings.
The event was in partnership with award-winning architecture practice, Zaha Hadid Architects. The panel boasted four industry heavyweights including, Stephen DeSimone, Chairman and CEO of DeSimone Consulting Engineering, Chris Lepine, Director and Stefano Paiocchi, Senior Associate at Zaha Hadid Architects. The panel was moderated by Lindel Reid, Managing Principal at DeSimone Consulting Engineering.
Chris Lepine kicked off the discussion by delivering a short presentation looking at how Zaha Hadid Architects has adapted its design approach to suit the needs of residents and occupiers following the pandemic. With many topics being touched on, Covid and sustainability took center stage as panelists discussed the future of building design and the role buildings have in a post-pandemic world. The event concluded with questions from the audience which was a made up of architects, engineers, and other real estate professionals.
