As the original designer and manager for several of the 1964 World’s Fair pavilions, Founder and Chairman Vincent DeSimone was a panelist at “50 Years Later: What is the Design Legacy of the 1964 World’s Fair?” on Wednesday, May 7th at the AIA Center for Architecture. The event brought together Ken Hiller, Frank Marino, Alan Ritchie, and Charlie Thornton; four of the original designers and builders of the fair on its 50th Anniversary. The panelists brought the audience back in time to explore the innovative design solutions they employed and discussed the legacy of the World’s Fair pavilions today.
