• A provocative and inviting visual arts center for the city of Edmonton, Canada
• A quarter of the existing facility was demolished to allow for the design and construction of this new addition
• The new addition provides 27,000 sf of floor space to the facility
• The design infills and expands vertically a new steel structure which houses gallery spaces, administrative functions, and rooftop gardens
• Through materiality and strategic repositioning on the site, the gallery formally and philosophically extends out to the community
• The project utilizes a wide array of green features and intelligent engineering strategies
