- Florida Power and Light is a 200,000 sf office building with accommodations for 1,000 workers, to be located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
- Focused on resiliency and the building’s critical role in disaster response, the facade systems are designed to withstand category 5 storms and impacts from blown debris
- The primary facade is comprised of a thermally broken, structurally glazed unitized curtain wall and a metal panel rainscreen system
- The ground floor is enclosed with an all glass storefront glazed to structural glass fins
- The adjoining parking garage supports an extensive solar panel array and is clad with 25 ft tall precast panels
- The facade systems are coordinated and designed to provide a robust enclosure, with greater redundancy that ensures a rapid return to service following severe weather
- Project is a full transformation of the existing Dock Square parking structure located along the Greenway
- The existing seven-story garage, built around 1979, contains approximately 287,000 sf and consists of structural steel framing with one-way post-tensioned slabs
- The design requires, several existing floors be removed from the top of the garage and new floors consisting of residential units be constructed above the remaining levels
- Exterior wall systems include unitized window wall at glazed and opaque portions of facade, perforated metal panel cladding system at existing garage, and stick-built glazed storefront systems at ground floor
- Project site is located on the Stevens Institute of Technology campus between the Howe Center and Davis Hall

- University Center and lower levels of the towers are clad with a combination of masonry and curtainwall
- Service drive/amenity terrace is located at level G along the east side of the building and structured above the steep incline above Frank Sinatra Drive
- Mixed-use development project located at Northern Blvd and Steinway Street
- Comprised of ground level commercial and parking/mechanical space with five floors of residential development above
- Outdoor amenity spaces above the podium roof
- Building consists of 27 stories above grade and one story below grade
- Building comprises approximately 225,000 gsf
- The project is a residential rental building with parking and amenity programs located in the podium
- Project involves the fit out of approximately 31,000 sf for both the LDC and SLC primarily within the ground floor of the existing American Dream complex
- Fit out spaces contain various attractions including aquariums, acrylic tanks, theaters, and theme rides
- Will include several ramps and built up slabs to accommodate differences in elevation between the base building and the fit out spaces
- DeSimone Facades and Structural teams collaborated to engineer and design a boutique glass stair connecting the fifth and sixth floors of Transperfect’s new offices at 1250 Broadway
- Facades team engineered the structural glass treads, guards, handrails, glass-to-glass and metal-to-glass connections
- Glass treads are supported by the steel frame engineered by the Structural team
- Both teams worked closely together to determine the loads, understand the resulting movements, and how to accommodate these without over stressing the glass structure
- The development consists of two independent buildings, a 31-story residential tower and a 16-story affordable senior housing building
- Project is located on an L-shaped site on the south side of Broome Street between Norfolk and Suffolk Streets
- The senior assisted living building sits atop a synagogue located at the ground floor
